The Community Justice Centre (CJC) is an independent charity that provides legal and emotional support to litigants in person. Its mission is to ensure that the litigants in person (LIPs) have access to justice through community partnership.
Often, the Litigants in Person come through the legal system requiring assistance and support beyond legal help. For example, abused wives and children need emotional support or even temporary housing. Families of accused persons awaiting trial may have to deal with the burden of underlying emotional distress, and sometimes they may even face financial difficulties and other social issues.
The aims and aspirations of the CJC can be attained only with the support and effort of all involved, particularly the tireless work of volunteers. Your support and donation could help to build an inclusive society where no one, rich or poor, is left behind. Please consider making a donation and help the CJC in building a fair and equal society.
As a Singapore tax payer, you may be eligible for tax deduction of up to 2.5 times. This makes your donation going further in supporting our work.
Where Your Donation Goes
International law firms have thousands of employees. We only have a handful of staff to support a wide variety of programmes run by our volunteers. In addition, your donation could be used on projects like development of DIY toolkits, training video where information would be made available to everyone. This makes your donation more effective in helping the needy.
Just like other organisation, the CJC has to fund its infrastructure costs, including utilities, IT. Your donation will enable us to keep our infrastructure and operation running effectively.
